Career Background / Experience

I began my career in care in 1998 with Bucks County Council as a carer, where I discovered my passion for helping others. Later, I approached a private care company to take on night care, which suited my schedule while raising a young family. I worked with this agency for 12 years, gaining valuable experience in the field.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I decided to transition to the administrative side of care, working in the office for two years. In 2021, I joined Eximius, bringing my experience and dedication to a new role.

Why Live-In Care

I believe that live-in care offers a more personal touch, allowing caregivers to build strong, lasting relationships with clients. The constant presence of a caregiver helps foster a deeper connection, leading to a better understanding of the client’s needs and preferences.

This approach often results in a more customised and compassionate care experience, creating a sense of familiarity and comfort for everyone involved.

I admire Eximius’s ethos; the organisation’s commitment to creating a positive environment for both carers and care recipients truly resonates with me. It’s incredibly fulfilling to contribute to a mission that champions hope, independence, and support for families on their caregiving journey.
