There is a real risk of you becoming exhausted when you are caring for someone full-time. The last thing anyone wants is for a carer to become too tired to look after their loved one. Breaks are needed, and sometimes you may want to go away to see other family members or friends. During this time, Eximius can provide a support companion with their respite care at home service. This can be anywhere from a week to as long as is needed.
We’ll work with you to make sure we know everything your loved one needs so you can relax, safe in the knowledge they are well looked after.
You can also use our Openpass system to check-in, or we can call to give you an update – whatever allows you to have a rest yourself and not worry.
How can we help you?
We’ll match you with a companion who has the right training, experience and temperament to take care of your loved one. If you opt for regular respite care, we’ll strive to match you with a carer who can fit into your schedule to ensure continuity.
And as the service is truly bespoke, there really is no limit to the services our carers can provide.
These may include:
- Respite care at home provides support for all care requirements
- Help with personal care including getting dressed in the morning, and ready for bed at night
- Managing and monitoring medication
- Cleaning and upkeep of the household
- Shopping and cooking
- Organising and accompanying clients to appointments with the doctor, hospital or other medical professional
- Arranging and accompanying clients on outings and holidays
There’s no need to worry about needing a break or asking for help. Eximius is here to support you.
Hospital stays
We can also provide respite care should you need to go to hospital or recover after an operation or fall. On your return you deserve to have all the home comforts! Our companions can cook for you, take care of the day-to-day running of the house and also look after any visitors who drop by. This means you can recuperate as quickly as possible, and get back to life as normal.
