Long-term conditions such as brain and spinal injury can really disrupt the life of the injured and the lives of their families. Eximius provide experienced live-in care, enabling their safe return to their own homes with the correct care support in place.
For many people, this makes an overwhelming difference to the quality of their life. It means they can safely remain in a home they know and love, surrounded by their families and belongings, living as normal a life and routine as possible.
Our nurse-led complex care team work with other health professionals, such as discharge teams, occupational therapists, neurologists and specialist consultants, to ensure that all equipment and person-centred care planning is in place before the client returns home.

Our complex care team are trained to the highest level, and they are here to offer a professional, compassionate and person-centred care service.
As well as internal nurse led training, we utilise the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and the British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM) for additional specific training.
Our training includes:
- Acquired brain injury and neurological conditions
- Autonomic dysreflexia
- Bowel management
- Continence care (including catheter care)
- Emotional and mental health changes

- Paraplegia and tetraplegia
- PEG tube or nasogastric feeding

We create a bespoke care plan based on the actual needs of the individual, both physical and emotional.
We then identify a suitable carer, or team of carers if required for hoisting and night care. We can even arrange housing for the care team nearby to a clients home, to ensure that the client can protect their privacy and family space, while still receiving safe and exceptional support.
