Career Background / Experience

I began my professional journey in childcare when I was 17 years old and gained my NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Childcare & Early Years Practice. I developed a strong foundation in nurturing and supporting children of all ages in nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools. I was also a private nanny for over seven years.

Over time I transitioned into the care sector, expanding my skills and expertise to encompass a broader spectrum of adult care. This transition has allowed me to apply my passion for helping others in new and meaningful ways, while also building upon the valuable experiences gained from my time in childcare.

Why Live-In Care

I enjoy working in live-in care because I strongly believe in empowering individuals to make choices about their own lives, especially when it comes to where they want to live. Everyone deserves the opportunity to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, surrounded by the people and memories that matter most to them, in order to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a profession that respects and honours individuals’ preferences and enables them to live life on their own terms, surrounded by their loved ones.
