About Suzanne…
Career Background / Experience
I began my career in complex care at the spinal rehabilitation ward in Salisbury District Hospital in 2005. Having experience as a live-in personal assistant, I moved on to work for a national home care provider for live-in complex care and had several roles over the years including PA supervisor, customer service manager and business development manager.
Why Live-In Care
Although live-in care may initially seem quite intrusive, it actually brings so much more freedom and independence to a person’s life. The convenience of not having to wait for a certain time and the freedom that live-in care brings is what attracted me to be a live-in carer myself in 2009.
In other care roles my work felt very task-oriented instead of client-focused. During my mid-twenties, I worked with a lady of similar age and the continuity of care gave us the opportunity to work towards long and short-term goals and see our achievements in a shorter period of time. Seeing her achieve her independence goals was fantastic and after just two weeks, I felt so much more job satisfaction than ever before. I adore the next level, boutique style live-in experience that Eximius strives for.
Why Eximius
After a career break to have my children, I was introduced to Eximius in 2023. I was so excited to see such a quality-driven and dedicated company. Everyone has the passion to provide a truly exceptional service as the standard, not the exception. I knew my previous skills and knowledge would be put to good use and that I’d assist with this standard of excellence.
Eximius celebrates the individual – whether a client or colleague – a message that’s weaved into everything we do and I am so happy to be part of such a hardworking, enthusiastic team.
