Why Choose Eximius?

Eximius means exceptional. Your loved one deserves the very best of care so they can continue to live their lives to the fullest. To make this a reality, there truly are no limits to the live-in care services we can provide. This is how we make this happen.

Rated “outstanding” by the CQC

Our high level of care, responsiveness to our clients’ needs, and refined live-in care management earned us the highest rating in our current care assessment published in January 2020. This puts Eximius in the top 5% of all rated care providers in the UK. You can access the full report here.

We work with you to choose the perfect carer or companion

Matching the skills, experience and personality of the carer or companion to the client is vital for the success of the relationship. In order to get this right, we’ll meet with you to discuss your requirements
and share carer profiles with you so you can make your selection.

We have a rigorous recruitment process for carers and companions and an excellent training programme for all our staff. Unlike many live-in care services, we provide you with ONE companion or carer rather than using staff on rotation, so you develop a personal relationship with them. And as all our companions and carers are employed by us, you don’t need to worry about any employment obligations. We also provide cover where necessary to make sure no client is ever left without care.

Industry-leading recording and monitoring systems

We have the latest in recording and monitoring systems, with tablets in clients’ homes containing all care notes and recordings through the Open Pass App.

Family members, health professionals, and support companions can access this information at any time giving you peace of mind that your loved one is getting the best care possible while you’re away from them. This system also enables us to remain vigilant about delivering a consistent service with the highest of standards. Of course, you can also reach out to us by phone at any time.

Taking care of our clients from top to toe

We take a holistic approach to our client’s health and happiness. Eximius partners with A&R priority healthcare, a group of respected GPs who can assist our clients with their medical needs. Find out more here. [Link to PDF]

We can also bring in acupuncturists to treat pain and improve well-being, pain management specialists to minimise the distress caused by illness, and Reiki experts to promote relaxation and healing. We strive to go the extra mile to ensure we truly care for our client’s well-being.

Nutritious, delicious food

If you’d like us to take care of cooking, our personalised fresh cooking service not only brings you amazing food, but also provides you with a level of service you would not normally receive from a traditional care home.

We work with our companions to share suitable nutritious recipes, cooking tips and techniques so you can be sure your loved ones are getting the nutrition and fluid they need on a daily basis.

Our companions will also shop, prepare and lay the table and even serve pre-dinner drinks. If you want to have friends over for lunch and dinner, they can organise that for you too.  Companions monitor and record all meals and drinks and ensure our clients are meeting their targets.

Committed to providing personalised care for our clients

How we support you is entirely your choice. We limit our client numbers to ensure we maintain our standards and flexibility. We have no desire to become the biggest care company, as we don’t want to lose our ability to pay personal attention to each of our clients – such as delivering Christmas hampers to every one!

We can run homes both in the UK and overseas, deal with accounts, organise appointments, events and travel, manage medication, create nutritionally balanced meals – anything you desire. We aim to deliver a truly personal, customised live-in home care service.

We specialise in live-in care so we can focus on providing a premium, personal service

Unlike many care companies, we only provide live-in care, we don’t also do domiciliary care. That’s because the two services are very different. When businesses provide both services, the demands of domiciliary care are so immediate, the focus on providing a premium live-in service can get pushed aside.

In contrast, we aim to provide the best, most personalised live-in care service possible for our clients.
